Filmmaking fills me with joy. I love turning ideas into meaningful stories and sharing them. Watching a concept become real is fascinating and rewarding. I’m still shaping my style and expect that to continue. I aim to take audiences on adventures, embrace risk, and share the joys of making films.
I earned an MFA in Cinema from San Francisco State University in 2016. I previously completed a two-year animation program there while earning my BA, studying 3D computer, 2D (hand-drawn and digital), and stop-motion animation. I now work mainly in Premiere Pro and After Effects.
I am also an artist. I enjoy many different kinds of media including, but not limited to: graphite, charcoal, watercolor and acrylic. Similar to my filmmaking, I am still refining my style. One common theme I enjoy exploring is recreating some of my favorite film characters ranging from the Creature from the Black Lagoon to James Bond.
After spending a couple of years as a photographer and filmmaker for the College of Liberal and Creative Arts Communications team at SFSU, I have been exploring within the field of photography. I find that there is a fine line between filmmaking and photography in terms of lighting and composition and I am always refining that skill.
